I’ve officially had my 2015 Sentra 6M/T for 5 months now, which is the longest I’ve kept a car since my Grand Marquis. It’s about to roll over 10,000 miles.

At the moment, my plan is to trade it for a 2012-2014 Mustang convertible this Summer, or keep it until it’s paid off and beyond. Despite clearly being intended to be cheap, reliable and uninvolving transportation for the masses, with the manual this car is actually quite fun to drive - with 130 HP you can go at 9/10ths all day long without incriminating yourself, damaging the car or wasting much fuel.

Yes, I added a cold air intake, I’m well aware they are virtually pointless. It gives the engine a nice growl when previously it was hard to hear, which is worth it to me, especially considering I got it in a black Friday sale for less than $200.

Also added a Curt tow hitch, which I just used to carry my bike without damaging the interior/exterior of the car.

That’s all, guys and gals. Just wanted to share how Uriah was doing.

They’re actually from a Kia Sportage. My Mom has a Forte, which had the Sportage wheels, wearing 90,000 mile-warrantied Michelin Defender tires that I spent $550 on a couple years ago, but she drives 5 miles a week, and they were just going to dry rot. The bolt pattern and tire size were identical so we swapped them - the Forte has Nissan hubcaps now, haha.

It was my Christmas gift because I usually have worn my bike down to its last legs by December every year. I think this model (Schwinn Phocus 1400) runs $250 or so

Looks a lot nicer than that! I’ve got a Trek 1.1 (base model) I think it retailed for like a grand when new. I didn’t buy it new. It was about 6 months old. It’s getting a little beat up now though with well over 4k miles. Might need to upgrade.

Why did you buy a Nissan? Why do you hate America?? Huh?? WHY!!!

Yeah, this is the most expensive bike I’ve ever had, I usually just pull one off the rack at Walmart because I ride 80-100 miles a week and have to keep it outside so its going to get destroyed no matter how high quality it is.

Trying to bring this one inside my room when I can though, I’d like it to last.

My bike gets better treatment than my dog. It lives in it’s own room. Haha.

Haha, unfortunately I live in /a/ room so I don’t have that luxury.

Wondering if it’ll be Uriah Heap one day.

Props for enjoying a relatively normal car! ‘Tis what I try to do with even the most boring vehicles, i.e. the football-y Toyota Aygo.

Mortgage/Luxury same thing, right? I Miss the days of living in a one room college type thing.

That’s a lot of miles for five months! My dad’s xB hit that many miles after eight months.

And I know you’re in Florida, so it’s probably not an issue, but do the police care that the bike rack is kind of blocking the license plate? I’ve seen racks around here that completely cover the license plate, though, so you’re probably fine.

Yeah, I drove the Grand Marquis 33,000 in a year though, so I’ve actually slowed down somewhat haha.

I haven’t had any issues, but then I don’t give the cops any other reason to pull me over. If I don’t need my bike that day I take the rack off.

I always wondered, with those bikes covering the license plate does that mean that you are immune to traffic cameras?
